The 8Ch. 1080N Digital Video Recorder (model CP-UVR-0801E1-IC2) is an 8-channel digital video recorder (DVR) from CP PLUS. Detailed specifications were not available when this page was compiled, so the points below come from the product name; confirm HDD capacity, throughput and interfaces on the product page.

What to consider

As a buyer, focus on the imaging hardware, lens and night coverage, plus networking, storage, audio and environmental protection. Check the specification table above to match the camera to the scene, mounting location and recording system you need.

Platform notes

• Records analog/HD-over-coax cameras; check the resolution format your cameras output (for example 1080N, 1080P, 5M-N or 4K-N) against the DVR’s supported formats.
• Match channel count to the cameras you plan to install and confirm HDD capacity and retention before finalising a purchase or quote.
• If you also need IP camera channels, confirm that on the product page.

Good fit for

• Upgrading or building analog/HD coax systems with up to 8 cameras.
• Re-using existing coax cabling instead of running new network cable.

Not ideal for

• New builds that need PoE-powered IP cameras and advanced analytics; an NVR is usually the better choice.
• Installs with more cameras than the channel count.

Figures are indicative.
